Greats~April 2012

AL West Standings
1. Honolulu Greats 21-6
2. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 15-13
3. Seattle Mariners 11-17
4. Texas Rangers 10-18
5. Oakland A's 9-19

AL Players of the Month
Player of the Month: Mike Schmidt, .368, 8 HR, 34 RBI
Rookie of the Month: NOT AWARDED
Pitcher of the Month: Nolan Ryan, 5 W, 1.08, 76 K's
Relief Pitcher of the Month: Jonathan Broxton, 7 SV, 4.66, 11 K's

Honolulu Greats

Now looking at the standings for the AL west, you would be like "Wow the Greats are a great team", but looking at each individual play you would be like "OK I guess I can take that...". The Greats are the best in baseball, no doubt, but this was not their best month. Last year they went undefeated in April. The only team to ever do that. I want more!

Financial wise, this team isn't looking so good. They thought they had all the money in the world when they got Big Papi for 100,000,000 dollars. That was definitely in favor of the Red Sox. The Greats have picked up quadruplets. Kip Wells are their names. They all have blood for baseball. The Greats are trying to trade them for some money. So far, no luck, but I think the Greats can get out of this.
