| Good.
But I've changed the stat system to this:
You get 500 points, everything starts at 1, and power starts at 30.
Trajectory = 50 points Contact = 20 points Power = 5 points Running Speed = 15 points Arm Strength = 20 points Fielding = 20 points Error Resistance = 15 points Blue abilities = 100 points Intimidator = 300 points Green abilities = 50 points Second position = 100 points
For pitchers, you start at 65 mph, 70 control, 20 stamina, and no breaking balls.
Top speed = 30 points Control = 5 points Stamina = 3 points CB, CHG, SLD, SIFB, or SNK = 4 points each, upgrades = 7 points each Any other breaking ball = 5 points each, upgrade = 8 points each Blue abilities = 100 points Gyroball or Intimidator = 300 points Green abilities = 50 points
Now decide on your abilities.

| TRJ:1 CON:10 PWR:40 RSPD:7 ASTR:6 FLD:5 ERR:1
Is that correct math?

| Lemme see...
1 trajectory = 0 points 10 contact = 180 points 40 power = 50 points 7 running speed = 90 points 6 arm = 100 points 5 fielding = 80 1 E Res = 0 points
That = 500 on the nose.
All good. I shall begin concocting your story line now.

"Tallahassee High is trailing by only one to Covell Academy! The bases are loaded with two gone, and in steps Arthur Raines! A hit could win the game! The pitch!"
"WAKE UP!!!" Marvin yelled in my ear. I sat up straight, my face covered in pizza sauce. "It's time to get to class!"
Today is the day my best friend, Marvin Lesman, and I join the Tallahassee High Snakes baseball team. I can't wait to show my stuff. But I hear that the coach, Gleeson Hedge, is tough, and does cup checks very frequently. I hope I never forget my cup.
Anyways, after school, I went into the locker room and changed into my baseball clothes. Then I went out to the field, where I met up with Marvin and another friend of mine, Joe Turner.
Decision time!!!
What do I do?
A. Throw with Marvin and Joe B. Throw with Marvin C. Throw with Joe D. Take a lap for warmups E. Kick Coach Hedge and run away F. Run away

| I decided I'd take a lap for warmups. After I finished, Coach Hedge came over to me and commented, "Nice work ethic, Arthur." (Coach's Eval +2, 3 points gained)
Then Coach called the team together, and immediately did a cup check, starting with Marvin, who crumpled to the ground and was taken off the field on a stretcher. Then he started us off with a "that wimp better wear a cup next time." Then he said, "Alright fellas, go to the position you want to play this season."
Marvin somehow got up and limped to center field, Joe ran to third, and me and a guy named Alvin lined up at second. "Hey," I said. "Don't talk to me," was the response I got. Well, he's a bit of a jerk.
Anyways, Coach started by hitting us grounders. I caught 4 out of 5, while Alvin netted all five (Coach's Eval +1, 2 points gained). Next, he tested us on our hitting. I was first.
Decision Time!
What do I do?
A. Try to make contact with all of them B. Bunt C. Try to hit a homer on all of them D. Hit Coach Hedge E. Jump in front of the pitch F. Go home and never come out of your room again
Also, as you can see, I'm going to keep the point system, so if you want to improve your stats, you'll need to follow that system.

| I tried to just make contact on every pitch, and succeeded. However, though I made contact with every pitch, I only got half of them out of the infield. Afterward, Coach said to me, "Impressive contact, but work on your power a bit." (Coach's Eval +3, 5 points gained)
Alvin came up next and, on the first pitch, hit a scorching grounder to my left.
Decision time!!!
What do I do?
A. Dive for it B. Try to field it cleanly C. Tell the first baseman to get it D. Run the other direction

| I dove for it, and made an amazing catch! (Coach's Eval +4, 7 points earned)
After that, the rest of tryouts went smoothly, and afterwards, Coach Hedge called us together.
"Okay guys, here is the lineup we'll be using for now."
1. Jonathan Rutledge RF 2. Joe Turner 3B 3. Alvin Lockhart 2B 4. Kevin Coolidge 1B 5. Jeremiah Johnson C 6. Adam Cantrell LF 7. Mickey Martin CF 8. PITCHER 9. Oscar Garbage SS
Afterwards, Coach called me aside. "Listen," he said, "The reason you aren't starting is because Alvin is. But, he's a Senior, and he's just that good. And besides, I have a special assignment for you. You see, Oscar sucks as a shortstop (1FFFFFF), but he's our only one, so that's why he is starting. I want you to learn how to play shortstop over the next few weeks."
So I accepted the offer, then went home.
Decision time!!!
What should I do?
A. Play JPPY '12 B. Work on Coach Hedge's assignment C. Practice D. Go into town E. Sleep

Today was Christmas. I gave Marvin some Gundar Robots, gave Joe a Red Sox jersey, and gave my girlfriend, Tasha, a cuddly teddy bear.
When I got home from delivering the presents, I found a package for me on the porch. It didn't say who it was from. I opened the package, and out popped a note that said "This will help you improve in what you want to be." Also in the box was a book. I figured that the book was what the note was talking about.
Decision time!
What should I do?
A. Read the book now B. Read the book later C. Burn the book and laugh maniacally D. Put it on the shelf and never read it
